The ​Sr. Research Scientist ​is responsible ​for ​advancing the ​scientific ​credibility ​and strategic impact ​of ​the company’s Health ​& ​Wellness ​solutions through rigorous ​evidence generation, ​authoritative ​scientific communication, ​and high-impact ​stakeholder ​engagement. This role ​plays a ​pivotal part in shaping a favorable scientific, regulatory, and academic ecosystem by cultivating strong relationships with key opinion leaders and influential external communities. Through proactive scientific leadership and cross-functional collaboration, the Sr. Research Scientist enables innovation, strengthens claims substantiation, enhances market readiness,

and ultimately drives business growth and customer trust.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific Evidence Generation and Support

• Establish and maintain an expert-level understanding of published, ongoing, and emerging scientific evidence aligned with the company’s Health & Wellness pipeline priorities.

• Lead and coordinate company-sponsored studies and investigator-initiated trials in full compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and Amway policies and procedures, working in close collaboration with Center R&D to ensure scientific rigor and strategic alignment.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify qualified investigators and study sites, contribute to protocol and study material development, and support data collection, analysis, interpretation, and publication in partnership with Center R&D and relevant scientific functions.


Scientific Communication and Nutrition Education

• Deliver objective, evidence-based scientific information to Health & Wellness professionals, scientific leaders, and key stakeholders across the broader health ecosystem.

• Develop and deliver high-quality educational content—including personalized precision health insights, Health & Wellbeing platform updates, clinical trial findings, and best-practice guidance—to KOLs, ABOs, and internal teams, ensuring consistency in scientific narratives and strategic alignment.

• Ensure all scientific and technical inquiries are addressed promptly, accurately, and in full compliance with scientific, technical, and regulatory standards.

• Act as a senior scientific liaison to the Wellness business, translating emerging scientific insights into strategic platforms that strengthen product innovation, regulatory preparedness, and evidence-based marketing excellence.


Stakeholder (including KOLs) Engagement and Management

• Identify, map, and profile key influencers and stakeholders within the Nutrition, Food Science, and Microbiome fields, including KOLs and relevant institutions.

• Build and maintain collaborative, trust-based relationships through structured scientific engagement plans and aligned communication strategies.

• Develop advocacy plans and manage speaker bureaus in Nutrition, Precision Nutrition, and Microbiome disciplines; coordinate engagement of KOLs for scientific, educational, and academic events.


Business Impact Through Strategic Nutrition Stakeholder & KOL Ecosystem Leadership

• Strategically engage and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the Nutrition ecosystem (including leading academics, clinical experts, regulatory influencers, and scientific societies) to shape favorable scientific and regulatory environments that enable business growth.

• Provide forward-looking scientific leadership to guide assessment strategies, claims substantiation, risk mitigation frameworks, and long-term innovation pipeline development, ensuring strong scientific credibility and sustainable competitive advantage.

• Leverage KOL networks and broader scientific communities to enhance external trust, elevate brand reputation, and create academic and regulatory advocacy pathways that accelerate the impact of the company’s Nutrition and Precision Health initiatives.


Job Qualifications

Education

• Ph D (preferred) or master’s degree in a scientific or nutrition science discipline (e.g., Clinical Nutrition, Human Nutritional Microbiome, Molecular Nutrition, Nutritional Genomics).

• Experience in writing or publishing scientific papers preferred.

Experience and Knowledge

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience of research and /or relevant scientific institution or health & wellbeing industry in Scientific Affairs or CRO functions.

• Experience in conducting clinical trials, working with KOLs, or presenting at scientific conferences is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of scientific terminology and statistical concepts.

Skills and Competencies

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific information clearly to diverse audiences.

• Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and networking skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

• Self-Motivation: Highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented; able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Technical: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Proficiency with administrative and reporting tools.

• Business proficiency in English, Native level of Korean
